New Dolphin Prints

Two new dolphin prints from Portugal

It was a quiet fall morning in Lisbon, and I was out on an ocean trip, my last one for that visit to Portugal before flying back to the US a few days later. We hadn’t seen any dolphins yet on this particular day, but I really didn’t mind – it was a gorgeous morning, and just being out on the open sea was a treat, as always. The ocean was calm, the light was soft, and filtered by a slight haze, and it was all so very peaceful. One of those perfect September mornings.

We were sitting still in one spot, looking out over the quiet water for signs of wildlife, when all of a sudden, slowly, gracefully, and almost without a sound, a dolphin surfaced right next to the boat. And then another one, and another one, and another one.

It was such a dream-like scene, and one of those times when I really struggle with whether to photograph or just be in the moment and take it all in. But of course I couldn’t resist taking at least a few pictures to be able to preserve those magical moments forever, and these are two of them.

I just added these images as prints in the Wildlife Collection, for those who would like to add a little dolphin magic to their walls as well. 🙂
