Introducing the Foggy Day Waves print series! I’m so excited to share these new prints! They have been a long time in the making, going through many revisions along the way, but finally, here they are!
I photographed this series on a calm November morning at Good Harbor Beach on Cape Ann when the fog was so thick you couldn’t see more than a few feet ahead of you, and all was quiet, except for the occasional muted cry of a seagull and the sound of the foghorn in the distance.
The whole world was monochromatic, and the ocean had this beautiful silver gray color and was so smooth that the water almost looked like satin. Every now and then, the sun would peak through the fog ever so slightly, creating a warm, soft shimmer on the water. It was such a peaceful, magical morning, it almost felt like a dream.
There’s a little twist to these images: from a distance, they are mostly abstract, but when you look at the waves up close, they have a cool ribbon-like appearance.
There are 7 images in total in this series, and they are available as unframed or framed fine art paper prints, and as acrylic glass prints, in sizes up to 40×60 inches in the US, Australia, and Canada (unframed everywhere, framed in Toronto only). Acrylic glass prints are only available in the US.
