New Cloud Prints: Above the Clouds
Are you a window or aisle seat person? I’ve always been firmly team window. Every time I fly, I bring a book and plan to settle in and read, but as soon as we take off, I can’t pull myself away from the view outside.
Seeing the world from above never gets old. Landscapes turn abstract. Fields become patterns. And suddenly, you’re in the middle of the clouds, and the light changes. It’s all so magical.
I always have my camera out and ready to go because I can’t stand the thought of missing one of these special moments. I’ve always thought of these shots as my “window seat” pictures, and I kept toying with the idea of turning them into a print series.
And finally, after all these years of photographing from above, here they are; the first two prints in this series: Above the Clouds No. 1 (above) and Above the Clouds No. 2 (below).
I love the muted colors and painterly feel of these prints, and think they’re perfect as art for bedrooms (especially above the bed), and as big statement pieces in living rooms.
Both these prints are available in sizes from small to extra large, framed or unframed.
