The new series is live! I’m so excited about these new surfing photography prints. I’ve spent the few winter daylight hours shooting them, and many dark winter hours working on them.
I think surfing is such a beautiful sport, the perfect mix of zen quiet mindfulness and intense adrenaline rushes. And being totally in tune with the elements. And all that is what I have tried to capture in these images.
Since launching these prints back in 2018, Surfing No. 9 (above) has become one of my most popular prints, and is now also available as an acrylic glass print, both in rectangular and panoramic format.
I photographed all these images at Good Harbor Beach in Gloucester, Massachusetts, during winter, when you have calm seas and overcast skies one day, and a big ocean storm the next.
And even when a storm only goes by out to sea, you get that fun storm surge.
There are 13 new prints in total: 2 new images in the “Waiting” series and 11 prints in the new “Surfing” series. Several of the “Surfing” prints come both as panoramic images in sizes up to 27×60 inches (68×150 cm), and as rectangular prints in sizes up to 40×60 inches (100×150 cm).
